Jodi Kahn
Named President, Digital Business at Reader's Digest Association;
to Grow the Company's Footprint Across All Digital Media
The Reader's
Digest Association, Inc. (NYSE: RDA) today named Jodi Kahn as
President, Digital Business, responsible for the company's Internet
and digital technologies strategy. Eric Schrier, President and
Chief Executive Officer, to whom she will report, made the announcement.

Kahn, 42,
joins RDA from Time Warner, Inc., where she was Publisher of TIME
for Kids after serving as Vice President, Business Strategy for
Time Inc. Interactive. In that position, Kahn played a lead business
role driving AOL and Time Inc.'s digital integration, including
creating a new advertising sales strategy, centralizing infrastructure
and technology efforts, and devising content strategies.
"Jodi
comes to us with the experience and skills ideal for accelerating
our move into digital media," Schrier said. "She will
take the lead in identifying and pursuing opportunities for online
advertising, potential content partnerships, new digital platforms,
eCommerce and affinity marketing. RDA's content is of significant
global breadth and depth, and Jodi will help us to leverage these
resources beyond print."
Based at the
company's headquarters in Pleasantville, N.Y., Kahn will work
closely with operating executives across RDA's business units
and will lead an integrated strategy that leverages existing business
platforms. She will be responsible for developing and launching
profitable new digital services to enhance the company's stable
of brands. The position that she is assuming at RDA is new.
As Publisher
of TIME for Kids for the past three years, Kahn had P&L responsibility
for this magazine that reaches 4.4 million students weekly. As
Vice President, Business Strategy for Time Inc. Interactive, she
integrated 20 Time Inc. web properties into the AOL host environment.
Before that, she served as Vice President, Marketing for Time
Distribution Services, and directed Time Inc.'s central marketing
channels (direct mail, billing, retention, telemarketing and online),
managing both traditional and non- traditional marketing. While
in this role, in 1998, Kahn launched Time Inc.'s subscription
marketing program.
A resident
of New York City, Kahn serves on the Board of Directors of the
National Children's Museum of Washington, D.C.
