THE NEW YORK TIMES TO LAUNCH NEW NATIONAL PUBLICATION, KEY, THE NEW YORK TIMES REAL ESTATE MAGAZINE

Debut Will Be on Sept. 10

NEW YORK, June13, 2006 – Building upon the successful launches of its T: Style Magazine and PLAY sports magazine, The New York Times today announced that on Sept. 10 it will launch KEY, The New York Times Real Estate Magazine, which will be distributed inside the Sunday Times. In the U.S., The New York Times reaches 15.2 million unduplicated readers every month via the weekday and Sunday newspapers, and NYTimes.com. “KEY will showcase residential real estate properties, renovation trends, luxury lifestyle trends in home design and furnishings, investment and financing strategies and more in a revealing manner that reflects the way we live today,” said Gerald Marzorati, editor of The Magazine and assistant managing editor of The New York Times.

KEY will be published twice each year beginning in 2007. Each issue of KEY will feature work by some of the country's finest writers and photographers. All the writing and photography for KEY will also be available, when the magazine is launched, on the newspaper's Web site, www.nytimes.com.
