Norske Skog Makes Move to Capture China's Newspaper Printing Market
The scent of profits has captured Norske Skog's attention and led to the recent building of a large newspaper production facility just south of Beijing. With a production capacity of 330,000 tons of newspaper print, the size of the facility shows Norske's belief that China is the next high growth newspaper market. Though China seems to be waffling on their commitment to a more open media industry, it remains one of the fastest growing newspaper markets in the world along with India, which has also seen dramatic growth and foriegn investment.
