3/28/05 - Mcconoughey and Cruz Team up for Jeep:
Bosses of vehicle company Jeep are cashing in on MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY's new desert action movie SAHARA by signing the actor and co-stars PENELOPE CRUZ and STEVE ZAHN up for print adverts. Jeep Wranglers are widely used in the adventure film and now the movie's stars are paying back the firm's generosity by appearing in a new advertising campaign.

3/28/05 - Mcgarrybowen Gives Brahma Its Ginga:
CHICAGO InBev's introduction of Brahma beer in the U.S. and 14 other countries will play up ginga—the Brazilian philosophy of effortless flair—and product attributes like drinkability with no aftertaste. Brahma will hit Los Angeles, San Diego and Santa Barbara, Calif., and Miami, Tampa, St. Petersburg and Orlando, Fla., on June 1. Later summer rollouts will include New York, Chicago, Boston and Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Austin, Texas. Marketing will include television, print, outdoor and Internet, via mcgarrybowen, New York; Sweet Spot, Chicago, will handle event marketing. The budget was not disclosed, but sources estimate the global spend could hit $40-50 million.

3/28/05 - Viva Is Choice of Mass Merchant:
ATLANTA BJ's Wholesale Club has selected Viva to handle the company's Hispanic advertising following a review of undisclosed contenders, the shop said. The independent Miami shop will produce television, radio, print and Internet advertising to help the Natick, Mass., company recruit new members, said Linda Gonzalez, Viva's CEO. ... The client spent about $1 million on ads last year after spending $7 million in 2003, per TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.
